Strauss Coffee: how Stratws sustains continuous improvement
See how Strauss Coffee sustains continuous performance improvement, with real-time data and alignment across countries, with Siteware's Stratws.

Before Stratws, Strauss Coffee only saw the month’s results at the end of the month, when it was already too late to act on a deviation. Today, every team tracks its own indicators in real time and discusses the root cause of a problem as soon as it shows up.
Strauss Coffee is one of the global leaders in the coffee industry, operating in more than 10 countries with over 16 brands, including 3 Corações. The company has more than 6,000 employees and has been a Siteware partner since 2017.

What challenges did Strauss Coffee face before Stratws?
Strauss Coffee operates in fast-moving consumer goods, a market that demands constant efficiency and coordination across areas. Before Stratws, performance reports only arrived close to month-end, covering what had already happened.
That meant reacting late to any deviation: the report came first, and only then came the question of what went wrong.
It's an industry where you can't stand still, you need to keep improving all the time.
How did Stratws enter Strauss Coffee’s continuous improvement routine?
Rollout happened in phases, country by country, starting in Poland in September 2017. Each business unit is different, so Strauss chose to validate one at a time before moving on to the next.
With Stratws, every user got their own portal, with KPIs available just two or three days after month-end. Teams stopped waiting for a centralized report to act: they spot the problem as soon as it appears and move straight to the action plan.
I'm no longer discussing the results, I'm already discussing the action item, the root cause, and that's proactivity.
Why did Strauss Coffee choose Stratws?
Before deciding, Strauss evaluated other platforms on the market. Each one covered only part of the need: KPIs in one tool, project management in another, meetings and tasks in a third.
After thoroughly examining other platforms, we didn't find a single one that had all the ingredients in one place.
Switching systems is also a cultural shift, and the way Stratws presents information visually made it easier for teams to adopt it. Integration with the ERP and with HR data helped cut down manual data collection.
What results has Strauss Coffee seen with Stratws?
Stratws brought transparency and alignment across areas, connecting management levels down to three or four layers below the CEO. Each level understands how its own work contributes to the overall result, and problems surface faster.
Since Strauss operates in more than 10 countries, each unit keeps its own set of KPIs, while global leadership compares the same indicators across countries. That has also brought teams closer together even when they don’t share the same office.
Strauss Coffee’s experience shows what changes when every team stops waiting for month-end to act. The root cause of a problem gets discussed the moment it appears, not weeks later.
